Benjamin Rothermich

A 21st-century flutist who aspires to evoke a spectrum of emotions from playful to solemnity from within the audience through orchestral music played technically and knowledgeably.

 
 

Benjamin Rothermich is an American flutist who has performed in North America and Europe and pursues musical opportunities where they can be found. He is a third-year undergraduate student studying under Brian Luce at the University of Arizona (UA). Presently, he is performing as second flute/piccolo with the Arizona Symphony Orchestra. Rothermich has also performed with the UA Philharmonic Orchestra, UA Wind Symphony, and UA Wind Ensemble. Along with large ensembles, Rothermich is a member of UA’s premiere recording flute ensemble, Flutefinity. At the Arizona Flute Society 2024 and 2023 Flute Festival, he competed and achieved second and third place, respectively, in the Undergraduate division.
